By car:

Mass I-91 runs north-south along the Pioneer Valley corridor.
—From the South: Use exit 19 for Amherst-Northampton, turning right at end of ramp onto Route 9 East.
—From the North: Use exit 20, turning left after exiting onto Damon Road to Route 9 East. From Route 9 in Hadley, take Route 116 North to UMass Amherst. There is free parking directly behind North Apartments.

By plane:

The nearest airport is Bradley International Airport (BDL) north of Hartford, Connecticut. The Valley Transporter runs regularly from BDL to Amherst.

By bus:

Peter Pan buses run regularly from Boston and New York City to Northampton.

By train:

There are Amtrak trains to Northampton MA from Boston and New York and points south, which pass through New Haven CT. Taxis, Uber and Lyft drivers serve the area and can bring you to UMass.
